Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple Sclerosis is referred to as MS. It is an autoimmune condtion, that affects the nervous system and brain. The antibodies of the defence system attack the myelin sheath found on nerve cells causing problems with the nervous system. Currently there is no cure to this progressive illness, however treatments have been found to slow the process of degradation down.

Chronic Fatigue including an overwhelming sense of tiredness,

Difficulties with balance

Dizziness

Visual Problems (blurred or double vision)

Numbness, tingling, pins and needles

Cognitive Problems (problems with thinking and memory)

Stiffness or muscle spasms

Muscle tremor

Bladder and/or bowel problems

Emotional and/or mood changes

Speech problems

Swallowing problems

Sexual problems

Symptoms of MS can be similar to other conditions, thus MS can only be diagnosed medically, through series of tests.
