Monthly Meet-ups

We usually meet the first Tuesday of every month at St Johns Church Hall, Cauldwell Hall Road, Ipswich, IP4 4QE. Our meetings provide a chance for people with Chronic Fatigue and Pain conditions to get together. In our meetings we have time to chat, topics to discuss and have regular guest speakers. Refreshments are provided although we request a 50p donation to meet our costs.

All are welcome, those with Chronic Fatigue &/or Chronic Pain, and their Carers, Family and Friends.

We hope to see you !!!

Coffee Mornings

Every so often we aim to meet for a coffee morning. This provides a chance to get together, chat and have a cuppa. Starting as 10.30am till noon come along for some good old fashioned chatting. For details of our next coffee morning visit our upcoming events page or contact us.

Home Visits

For those of you who are unable to leave your home for long periods of time so cannot attend our group meetings, then why not allow us to provide you with a friendly home visit.  For more information or to arrange a home visit contact us.

Socials

Going out and having some fun is important for anyone, especially those of us isolated because of an illness, that is why we like to have the odd social. Apart from our monthly meet up, we host social events throughout the year. From meals, quizzes, BBQs, beach hut days and day trips.  More information will be given out at our monthly meetings, and on our upcoming events page.

Chums - Relaunch 2020

We are aware of how isolating having a chronic fatigue condition can be. So in January 2020 we are relaunching our previous successful chums scheme. Chums is where we assign you a contact to be penfriends, email buddies or text buddies with. If you wish to join this scheme and get a chum please email gemma@cfsunite.co.uk with the heading chums and let me know the following:

If you prefer contact via post, email, text or if not bothered reply all.

The Phil Richardson Memorial quiz

Twice a year we aim to hold a quiz. This is a fantastic social afternoon.  From April 2018  our April/May quiz will become an annual quiz in memory of Phil Richardson. Phil was the brother of one of our members Lisa. Lisa does so much for the group that our members have agreed to hold a quiz every year in his memory and to help raise money for CFS Unite but also charities that Lisa chooses in memory of her Brother. In April 2018 the quiz raised money for RNLI Aldeburgh as Phil was a big fan of the Lifeboats. See our upcoming events for more information.

Vals' Flowers of Hope

In memory of Val Sheppard

Every quarter we send flowers chosen by our members to a member who

needs a extra boost or support. This was started in September 2016 in memory of one of our lovely members Val Sheppard who sadly passed away.

Fundraising Activities

One our objectives here at CFU, is to help charities that support Chronic Fatigue, thus we wish to support these charities as much as we can. Throughout the year we will hold fundraising activities. For more information please see our Fundraising Page.
