Chronic Fatigue Awareness Month

                    1st May – 31stMay 2011

May is a key month in raising awareness of illnesses that have Chronic Fatigue.

From the 1st until the 31st May it is the International ME Awareness Month, from the 9th till the 15th May, it is the ME Awareness Week, and from the 21st until  the 27th May it is MS Awareness Week, to name only a couple of awareness events.

These awareness weeks and months are really important as they are designed to provide the “opportunity for individuals and ME/CFS Organisations to raise awareness of the illness and also to fundraise for their specific cause. You don’t need to be a dummy to understand Chronic Fatigue as a symptom or an illness, you just need to listen, thus we need to talk to raise awareness and get the message out there.

Here at CFU we dedicate the whole month of May to help raise awareness of Chronic Fatigue as an individual symptom found not only in illnesses such as ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia but also other illnesses such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lime’s Disease, and Arthritis to name a few.

To help CFU we ask all our members and supporters, both local and online, our family and friends to show their support during this month and help us;

1.    Raise awareness of the symptom Chronic Fatigue

2.    Raise awareness of our support group Chronic Fatiguer’s Unite (CFU)

3.    Help fundraise for our charities we support (Click here to see who we support)
